Amount saved by not Smoking

I had forgotten about a counter I had for quiting smoking. At it's setting of $4.50 a pack, I have saved $6582.54 and counting since 2007 by not smoking. Incredible !! I think about this addiction to nicotine how it has affected my life. I am still fighting the battle. I suppose some say I have a addictive personality. Know it's weight, in my case I didn't gain the 20 pounds, people usually talk about I gained 100 lbs. Leading a sedimentary lifestyle, working on the computer 8-9 hours a day. Now that is my new battle.

Hi-Tech Smoking Jacket Has Lungs

Another example of hi tech design gone crazy. designed for the polite smoker who doesn't want to fumigate non-smokers in the area. When exhaling, the wearer of the Smoker Jacket can blow down the side of the collar into a tube. The smoke is then sent through a channel of filters, making the clear fake lungs on the outside of the white jacket haze over. The more smoke goes through the lungs, the darker they get. Over time, they'll eventually turn an icky black, reflective of the smoker's lungs. It was designed by Fiona Carswell and is meant to act as a health awareness. via Trendhunter

No buying cigarettes at #1 rated supermarket chain

It's going to be harder to even find a place to buy cigarettes in New York State as a report in the Buffalo News reports that Wegmans Markets, the #1 rated supermarket chain in the US, will stop selling tobacco productsis stamping out sales of cigarettes and other tobacco products at its supermarkets, becoming the first grocery chain in New York State to do so.
The Rochester-based company, which has 10 stores in Erie and Niagara counties, announced it will halt tobacco sales effective Feb. 10. Wegmans will continue to sell tobacco products until then, but will not replenish its inventory.
“It will now be a matter of how other businesses respond to what [Wegmans] decided to do,” said Rebecca Marion, a council spokeswoman. Target Corp., based in Minnesota, halted cigarette sales back in 1996.

Chantix Works on My Head

No nicotine patch since last Wednesday but I am still using the Chantix pill twice a day. So here I am, the habit part of my addiction is broken. I can go to the bathroom with out a cigarette, eat no cigarette after etc.
For those who have never had this addiction it's at least for me and I think a lot of people not a matter of will power but a multiple level addiction. The Chantix works on my head and the nicotine patch the habit and eased the cutting down of the nicotine.
Eliminating the ingestion of the other chemicals one gets when smoking is a bigger thing than many realize. As a user of other delivery systems of getting nicotine. Like the chew, it's is not the same, I found myself having a bandit in my mouth while I was smoking........ I'm working on a post of all the different things I've tried to take care of the oral fix I need.
